Japanese watchmaker Kisai has just released its newest user-designed timepiece. It may not be as famous (yet) as a certain other Uzumaki but it’s certainly just as awesome.
“Uzumaki” translates roughly into whirlpool and is named so for the watch lens’ descending concentric circles. The hands also descend into the center of the watch—the hour hand is one the outside edge, the minute’s on the inside. Its stainless steel construction allows it to be submerged to as many as three atmospheres, while the back light helps your time-telling in the dark.
This is the sixth user-submitted concept to be released by the Tokyoflash Design Studio. It’s available in either stainless steel or black with a blue or green display. The limited-edition analog watch retails for $129 on the Kisai website, however, the company is running a launch promo for the next 48 hours and knocking $30 off the price.
